I am beyond thrilled with the service received from this company. Someone called me within 15 minutes of submitting an online request. Someone was out the next day to assess the work and provide a quote, and the work was done the day after that. I chose this company in part due to the good reviews, and even more so because they could offer an electrician AND a plumber, saving me the need to reach out to two separate companies. I needed a 240 outlet and a capped gas line so that we could replace our gas range with induction.

Our plumber was Rafael, and he was my favorite kind of service guy. Not only personable (they all were), but happy to answer questions about other little things while he worked, even taking a few minutes to help me repair a small item that had started to fail in the last couple of days. But beyond that he was showing me how to do it, so that I could maintain it myself going forward. I would 100% request this person in particular if I reached out to this company again (which is likely).

Our electricians were Ricardo and Jay. I’d met the former the first day, as he was the same person to come out and review the job and provide the quote. These guys were both professional and really nice. They cleaned up after themselves (and did a good job of it), walked me through the work afterward and asked me to follow up if there were any issues getting the new oven installed and working.

Based on this experience I can highly recommend this company for electrical and plumbing.

We hired Pacific Coast Home Services to replace our water heater. They sent Rafael Alvarez Jr. the plumber to complete the task. He amazingly did everything in one day. He was professional, friendly and above all else knowledgeable!

He explained everything simply and made us feel comfortable about our options. Rafael also found a few other problems that could become major repairs in the future.

After installing the water heater we noticed our water pressure wasn’t the same. He came back right away to diagnose the problem. It turned out to be hard water sediment and corrosion from our pipes. He made sure to clean out all of our fixtures to ensure everything was working perfectly. I was home so Rafael walked me through the fixings and showed me the clogs I had as he gutted things out.

If you ever need a plumber I would recommend Rafael the PLUMBING DOCTOR!!!… he’s got the magical touch to fix anything!

It's difficult to put a star rating on this review. Did Pacific Home Services respond quickly and send a professional I would have trusted to do the work? Yes. Did they want to charge about $1000/hr for the proposed plumbing work? Also yes. Did they refuse my request to leave a written estimate? Also yes.

So I'd say if you're in a true pickle and need service that day don't mind the absurd hourly rate, use PCHS. If you can get a second bid, it might be more than worth it.

So normally I don’t post but considering all the requests for a review, I’ll respond. Cesar was great. Very knowledgeable, helpful and seems pretty honest and trust worthy.

The quote on the other hand… there was nothing else close to it and in a negative way. I get that as a business, you need to price accordingly but that “accordingly” is quite dramatically different from all other quotes. I’m talking 5 different quotes and this price was borderline, if not, disrespectful and a waste of time. There was nothing differentiated enough, at all, that would justify the quote they provided.

My mini split wasn't blowing cold air, so I reached out to Pacific Coast Home Services for help. They quoted me $89 for a diagnostic visit. When the technician arrived (he was a nice guy though) he mentioned that he needed to conduct a “full diagnosis,” which would cost $749. I agreed, hoping they would provide a fair price for the repairs. However, the estimate he gave me for fixing the unit was a staggering $10,800! I decided to call another company, and they offered to replace the entire unit for significantly less. I'll be getting a brand new mini split installed for a fraction of the cost! Stay away from Pacific Coast Home Services!

Rafael, their plumbing tech, replaced my water heater recently. He patiently explained to me every step of the process, & pointed out the reasons why it was a good idea for my old heater to be replaced (e.g. improperly sealed pipe joints). Everything he did was top-notch.
