I had a very positive experience at JAR in Suwanee. The price quoted was very close to the verbal guesstimate, which was very nice to see since $ is tight right now and I just needed to get back to drivable. I was way overdue for brakes & rotors and I knew that going in. Their recommended additional services were genuine issues (yes, that 2.5 year old DieHard battery probably is going bad, and yes, I do need to change the engine air filter,) and they didn't press it when I said I only needed them to do the things I don't have the tools, knowledge, and experience to do myself. The work was completed same day, no muss no fuss. I will definitely return for my rear brakes soon.

Today was my first visit at JAR. I will say, I’m very impressed with how professional the staff was during my visit. Every question I asked was politely answered and it made me feel comfortable knowing these guys are the real deal. I went in to have my 4Runners transmission fluid drained and filled, and the vehicle shifts better than ever. They also informed me about my front diff plug being loose (tightened it back up), which saved me a huge headache down the road. Their attention to detail does not go unnoticed. I will be coming back again for the same service, or anything else im not comfortable doing by myself in the future. I will recommend anyone to visit this shop. Great work JAR, and thank you for the meticulous work!!

I found a really great dealership alternative. David and Patrick took great care of me. I went for a tune-up and transmission fluid service. Great prices and they are really friendly and efficient. Patrick and David answered all of my questions and didn't pressure me into getting unnecessary work done to my vehicle..I will definitely be going back to get my car serviced and repaired in the near future. I highly recommend Japanese Auto Repair in Suawanee.

You charged 140$ for 4 pcs of spark plug, able to buy them at 47$ from Amazon
실제로 JAR이 아마존에서 구매하지
않았다 하더라도 구글링해보면 순정품 가격도 140$보다 훨씬 싸다는걸 바로 알수 있습니다

Update From November 18: Been meaning to post an updated review after taking my car to JAR about a month ago. Spoke to Shad who got me a same day appointment and by the following morning, the car was diagnosed with repair work underway. Very efficient and fair pricing. Will be going back to JAR for sure

Update from June 10th:
Initially I gave a one star rating for comments below under the dotted line. I did have a chance to speak with their service manager, Shad, over the phone to discuss what had happened. Apparently, my experience is an outlier which is what I had suspected. He was truly and sincerely apologetic about my experience and viewed it as a learning experience for his team. This to me shows great character that the managers care about the health and image of the company. We discussed the possibility of me giving JAR another chance and I will certainly do so. I look forward to potentially changing my star rating all the way to a 5.

I brought my car to JAR after receiving notification from the dealer that there were "critical" issues that were going to be quite expensive to repair with them. JAR seemed willing to do the same work for substantially less but I was told that the parts needed to be ordered. Everyone time I called, it was never ordered. I even asked "when can I bring my car?" I was told that they'll call me back (two weeks ago). Ultimately, I took my car to the AAA Car center in Johns Creek and got scheduled two days after showing them the concerns the dealer had. AAA did their own evaluation and determined one of the two concerns was necessary and actually found nothing wrong with one concern the dealer had. Long story short, I never like when I have to nag a business to do something for me and that's what it felt like. "Without us customers, there's no them". JAR lost a new client that was willing to bring both of their Japanese cars there for future services simply by taking me for granted
