I absolutely love Dr Markus!!!! I’ve been going to him for years. He is the only one I trust with my knee. I’m shocked by bad reviews I’ve read. He’s always cared about how I felt and went along with what I thought was needed and I’ve always respected his decisions and has always been accurate with me. Need to see him again actually and trust him 100%. Love him!!!

I went to Dr Marcus after breaking my leg. Dr Marcus and his whole staff were so nice and accommodating with my difficulties getting around. He showed me the x-rays, explained things and answered questions from me, as well as engage in conversation with my family members that were with me. I can't give him and his staff anything less than 5 stars and I'm surprised to see others have had different experiences.

I have been to Dr. Markus several times as he was the only ortho who had open appointments. 2 of the times I visited I had injured my knee. The first time he had to drain fluid off of my knee as it was very swollen. Before draining he mentioned that if the fluid was bloody it indicated trauma and a probable ligament tear. After pulling off bloody fluid he told me it was highly unlikely I had torn my ACL again (I had torn it years before and had seen a different doctor). His recommendation was that I went to therapy and he refused to allow me to go for an MRI even though his initial statement was that bloody fluid indicated a tear. I went to therapy for a few weeks with no change at which point I sought a second opinion. The second doctor was shocked I had not had an MRI and I was immediately sent for one which showed that I had in fact torn my ACL. I had surgery with that doctor to repair. Then again this past November I returned to doctor Markus as he was the doctor I could see quickly without waiting. Since I couldn’t weight bear due to pain he was my best option. I went in on crutches unable to put much weight on my leg at all and unable to straighten my leg. He was very dismissive doing a quick physical exam and stating everything “felt” in tact. Again he suggested therapy at which time I fought back and demanded an MRI. He did oblige but in the most condescending manner. He also told me that I should get rid of my crutches which was ridiculous as standing was physically impossible. He insisted my knee was able to straighten out but he didn’t account for the fact that my knees both naturally hyperextend so if doing a comparison to my right knee, it wasn’t even close to straight. I was just floored by his dismissive manner. After reading my MRI it showed that I had a buckethandle tear to my meniscus and my ACL was torn as well. Not quite as stable as it felt. From there I saw a specialist in practice, Dr. Stender, who was amazing and also seemed shocked by Dr. Markus’s recommendations. I actually even had to see a third specialist who felt competent in correcting all of the problems with my knee since this was my third knee surgery on the same side. All that said, I will never see Dr. Markus again. He had been less than helpful and just rude.

Saw him approximately 8 years ago...I stop seen him because he has terrible bed side manners, rush you and seems not interested, has an arrogant attitude with a god complex. It took about 3 visits to realize his a terrible doctor. As per the reviews I wasn't wrong about him. Good luck and be aware.

Just wanted to say thank you to Dr Markus and staff they were awesome!!…Dr Markus took the time to explain everything to me …I have a good understanding of what’s going on with me now …I really appreciated that he’s takings one step at a time with my problem and not jumping to surgery right away!!!…Dr Markus you were awesome and made me feel comfortable thru this process!…I thank you and your staff very much!!

He was in a hurry to leave the room, didn’t seem at all interested in what I had to say. Terrible bedside manner, will not go back to him. Also was very surprised his office didn’t call to see how I was doing.
