I had a horrible sewer backup into both bathrooms. It’s was a mess and disgusting. Roter rooter water damage to the rescue. They cleaned up like nothing happened. Frankie was amazing and very detail oriented. That is the first step. Now the drying and repair of unseen damage. So far very good communication and very pleased with their professionalism.

This was an Emergency sewer clog. I had 3 grandchildren and two adults here with no working toilets. Roto Rooter were here within 1-2 hours. Christian and Michael both spent a few hours working very hard. Christian was professional, knowledgeable and went beyond. Michael was equally qualified and very knowledgeable. He also took the time to explain the issues to me. I would use them again 100%

My HOA’s property management company contracted with an arborist to check various redwood and sweet gum trees with roots causing concrete driveway slabs to raise and other similar issues.
The arborist cited that my redwood tree was accessing a continuous water source on my property.
I contacted Roto-Rooter, who has been my go-to source for over 25 years. The first team lead, Roger, came out to inspect the roots , water main, both at the street and water faucet close to where the water was collecting. He ruled out the gutter downspout above the water collection area because it is not a true gutter downspout, rather an architectural design flaw. He took his video camera and inserted it into the sewer line, pointed the camera to various paths of the sewer line. It was completely dry and there were no leaks or standing water. Roger recommended that I contact Art R, who managed Rotor-Rooter’s Water Restoration Team.
I contacted Art R, explained the issue of there being a continuous water source that was feeding my Redwood tree roots. He arranged for Mario to come out and inspect the crawlspace. Mario went into my crawlspace under my townhome and asked me to run water from each water source in my house (bathroom faucet, shower, dishwasher, flush toilets, etc). He emerged from the crawlspace and reported that it was dry as a bone (including the area where the water was collecting); there were no roots in the crawlspace and no water leaks. Huge sigh of relief. My sincere appreciation to Roger, Art R and Mario for their professionalism, explaining how indoor and outdoor plumbing functions and thoroughness in eliminating what wasn’t causing the “continuous water source “‘

The Roto Rooter Technician dispatched to our home was very polite and completed uncloggging the drain at a very high degree of efficiency in approximately 30 minutes.

The remaining portion of this review is for Roto Rooter as a company. The price in my opinion for unclogging a shower drain was $598 or $518 after a $80 online coupon. I believe this service was vastly overpriced and will not be contacting Roto Rooter again for service moving forward.

The gentleman Christopher from roto rooter plumbing went out of his way to help me, in Gilroy, rescue a 5 week old kitten from a storm drain drain on the corner of 3rd and Monterey. I called them at 10pm after hearing the meows from below. It was the first number I found online. He came from Redwood City (at least a hr drive) on Friday night to assist me. We stood out there for 2 hours with a cat trap with food waiting for it. I unfortunately had to leave to use the restroom but guess what? When I returned he had the cat in the cage on the side walk! with the storm drain closed and safe. I told him once we got the storm drain grate removed he could go but Christopher didn’t leave he stayed to help until the job was done. I currently have the cat cleaned up spending time with him trying to have it become less feral. Kudos to you Christopher and thank you again. Couldn’t of done it without you!
